GOLD PLATING CHEMICALS FOR TANK SYSTEMS

Tank Plating uses similar chemicals with the basic variation being in the GOLD PLATING SOLUTION itself.

The CHROME STRIPPER is quite similar to the chrome stripper used in the MOBILE GOLD PLATING process. The same is true for the NICKEL ACTIVATOR.

In TANK PLATING, it is common to purchase most of the chemicals in a POWDERED FORM to save shipping expense, and, where appropriate HAZARDOUS MATERIALS Shipping Fees.

The Gold Plating Solution is different.

In a MOBILE OPERATION, you want the Gold Solution to be the consistence of a "GEL THAT CAN FLOW" so it will stay on the side of the vehicle as you do the gold depositing/bonding step.

In a TANK OPERATION, you lower the piece or pieces into all of the different liquids, as well as the liquid gold plating solution.

In a TANK SYSTEM, your chemicals are in large tanks. Typically, wheels go into 33 gallon rectangular top tanks.

You could use a smaller tank to do smaller items. Or, you could use larger tanks.

Typically, the item or items to be gold plated are mounted on a special rack that holds the item while it is in the solution. The rack is a part of the electrical circuitry.

The point to make here is simple. Tanks CONTAIN the solution and can pick up assorted foreign materials which can contaminate and or reduce the effectiveness of the chemicals in your tanks.

And, in the instance of the GOLD PLATING TANK, you will literally take gold out of the tank when you gold plate a part.

What this points out is simple. Before we could seriously provide you with information, we would need to know more about your operation. The simple addition of move chemicals to the chrome stripper or nickel activator tanks, or more gold to your gold tank, may not be the resolution for you.

Although it is not all that complicated, it is important to get it right. Getting it right means you will get better plating results.

On WIRE WHEELS, it is easy to get FULL OVERAGE over the entire wheel surface, including in-between the spokes, this is simply not possible to do in the BRUSH PLATING system.
