What is NEW in Gold
Plating?
It seems to depend on what day it is,
what you read, where you read it, and what you know about the industry.
To develop market attention, some
companies are showing so-called new chemical compounds.
One supplier was all for CYANIDE FREE
Gold Plating Solution about a year ago. Then others had to offer it as well. We still have

Now the same supplier
of the cyanide free gold plating solution is highlighting a
CYANIDE based Gold Plating Solution as a ONE STEP gold plating chemical. We have some of
this type of Gold Plating solution too. We have a separate FAQ on this too.
That sounds like a
conflict in technology...
Neither of these items were NEW since
they were already available within the industry, so it is hard to say that it is NEW now.
If you did not know the items were in the market, they may be new to you.
What does seems to raise a few
questions is why a company is totally against a cyanide based material one year, and a
year later is telling everyone how good it is to have a gold plating solution with cyanide
in it. Does this sound confusing?
We always maintained that the old well
known system of gold plating using a small amount of cyanide did an excellent job time
after time.
Remember, if you want the so called
cyanide free gold plating solutions, or the so called one step gold plating solutions, we
can provide them for you.
We strongly suggest you go with what
works well, and what we have promoted consistently. That is the cobalt complex that
hardens the gold. It works all the time and lasts too.
